ROLE PURPOSE:
• Responsible for the quality of Triple play network by assisting department head in identifying the areas of deterioration, while optimizing the efficiency of the fixed network.
• Responsible for the planning function in triple play  network by assisting department head in identifying directions & approaches to reach business objectives, issuing both long/short term plan to make the network in a healthy status, capable of  supporting customer service/demand  & market growth
• Responsible for providing new innovative cost effective network designs, configuration, and integration with various equipments for the triple play network.
• Responsible of all pre-implementation tasks to drive smooth network deployments.
• Provide reliable networking solutions, review new technologies and products, technical consultant activities, services improvement, and technical documentation and reporting.
• Responsible for the quality of the triple play network identifying the areas of deterioration. Assisting in network planning to provide network status reports, short/long terms plans & interacting with daily operation tasks for controlling and analysis. Managing cross function with Finance and business support functions to ensure the department delivery.


1. Network design and business initiatives
 Create new network designs. These designs include technical approach, product combinations and product configurations.
 Maintain the triple play  Network up-to-date and assure its ability to provide the full bouquet of services and features on both the corporate and consumer sides
2. Capacity planning   Plan for software & hardware system upgrades./expansions
 Determining the needed hardware for the network expansions, new initiatives based on the capacity planning forecast and marketing  needs
3. Testing   Participate in acceptance & testing of new nodes, systems, features & services.
 Define delivery and solutions quality standards and ensure compliance.
 Dealing with testing and optimization teams for all network quality standards
4. Leading network Optimization Function • Define quality indicators and thresholds, Initiates standards and develop methods for inspection and testing various network elements/ solutions implemented in the network to evaluate service performance.
• Spot areas of deterioration and service degradation, forwarding any abnormalities to the responsible department.
• Measure networks and services to ensure performance versus standards are well retained for both customers and network.
• Work for CAPEX and OPEX reduction compromised to the network efficiency.
5. Vendor management  • Evaluate and recommend new vendor products, including testing, configuring and troubleshooting products
• The main interface with the vendors for getting best technical needs and discussing the future services and features
 Provide proof of concept documents for all new solutions and products.
 Assess the need for vendors support intervention & follow-up with them regarding any relevant network issues.
6. Consultation   Provide technical support to internal & external customers, & ensure their satisfaction.
 Provide technical support to relevant NMC teams, to improve potential technical capabilities.
 Act as technical reference to other teams. Responding to their requests.
 Recommend new innovative solutions for any raised problem.
7. Customer / Stakeholder Management  Build trust and earn respect of internal and external customers by demonstrating value and delivery excellence
 Ensure all customer requests are done within the agreed service level agreement, SLA
  Manage escalations related to operational issues and projects.
  Ensure customer satisfaction at all contact points.
8. Knowledge Transfer  Transfer the Know How to Junior Engineers, to enhance the technical knowledge.
9. Strategic contribution to the VF future vision and planning  Actively contribute to the future vision for triple play and new products and services network services Delivery in particular and help build the plan.
  Cooperate and exchange knowledge and experiences with other VF OpCos regarding common initiatives, strategies and directions
10. Managing Cross function Tasks • Interacting with TeleTech team regarding implementation issues
• Acting as the main interface with TevoTech commercial team to receive their forecasts and convert the core metrics to plans.


 Sign off payment for external resources

 Sign off PR for new orders.
 Internal VIS. Contacts: Triple play service Delivery , Triple play operations , testing team, NMC team , VIS  resource planning .

 Internal Company Contacts:
o Finance departments { Decision Support-Accounts payable and Procurement departments }
o VF-EG Technology departments
o Strategy team
 External Contacts: Vendors, Suppliers.
 Partners : TeleTech , TevoTech


Educational Background
• B.SC in communications and electronics engineering or computer science from a reputable university.

Work Experience:
• 4+ years experience in Data Networks field.

Technical skills:
• CCNA certified.
• CCNP & CCNP voice (CCVP) full knowledge.
• CCSP is an asset

Background
• IPTV Technical knowledge ( technical requirements and main operation nodes )
• End-2- end voice system knowledge is an  asset .
• Hands on different vendors’ Data products (mainly Ericsson and Alcatel).
• Proper understanding of  latest transmission technologies and  their operation systems  ( GPON , DWDM  etc …)
• Good knowledge in  QoS models

PC Knowledge:
• Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, internet, Visio….etc).
• Different programming tools.
• Scripting skills is a plus.

Others :
• Project Management skill is preferred
• Fluent in spoken & written English.
• Very good presentation skills
